The Producers of are proud to announce the completion of the rough cut of “Saints at War – Faithful Heroes” .
This work in progress received a Gala Screening on May 30th at the American Heritage School in American Fork. Sgt. Jill Stevens, the current Miss Utah , and Miss America 's Choice and Afghanistan war vet spoke and sang at the event. The audience was moved by the power of the testimonies of faithful Latter-day Saint soldiers from the time of Joseph Smith to modern-day Iraq in the video presentation, including the miraculous story of Utah 's own “Triple Deuce” or 222 nd , from Southern Utah .
The Triple Deuce came back from one of the most dangerous areas of all Iraq – without losing one of their men – reminiscent of similar Book of Mormon story about Helaman and his 2000 Stripling Warriors. Producer / Director Ken Cromar interviewed a number of these men, in Kuwait on June 11, 2006 during a sand storm, as they were stepping off the field of battle, gratefully acknowledging God's hand in their miraculous deliverance.
